Fathom (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a mobile application (“Fathom App” or “App”) that enables users to view, configure, and manage RV water tank measurements using Fathom Radar sensors and a Bluey Gateway via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
The App supports both Business-to-Business (B2B) users (RV manufacturers, service technicians, dealers) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) users (RV owners).
The App operates offline and does not require internet connectivity for normal operation.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Fathom Mobile Application (iOS and Android), Bluetooth communication between the App and Fathom hardware, and data stored locally on your device.
The Fathom App does NOT require account creation, does NOT collect personal identifiers,does NOT collect GPS location data, does NOT use analytics services, and does NOT transmit tank data to cloud servers.
The App may store locally on your device:
• Paired gateway identifiers
• Sensor serial numbers
• Tank configuration profiles
• Firmware version history
• Saved radar data files (for troubleshooting)
• Gateway aliases
• Firmware files downloaded to the device
All data remains stored locally and is deleted upon app uninstallation.
The App requires Bluetooth and Nearby Devices permissions solely to discover and connect to Fathom Bluey Gateways, retrieve tank measurements, send configuration commands, perform firmware updates, and collect diagnostic data.
The App does not scan for unrelated devices, track nearby individuals, or use Bluetooth for analytics or advertising.
Fathom does not sell, share, or monetize user data. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted externally, no third-party sharing occurs.
All data remains stored locally on the user’s device. Uninstalling the App removes all stored data. No remote backups are maintained.
Security measures include secure BLE communication, application sandbox storage isolation, platform-level encryption provided by iOS and Android, and signed firmware validation where applicable.
The App does not collect personal data; therefore, rights under CCPA/CPRA and other U.S. privacy laws are not triggered in the current architecture.
The App does not process personal data within the meaning of GDPR Article 4. No cross-border data transfers occur because no data is transmitted to servers.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (U.S.) or under 16 (EU). No personal data is knowingly collected from children.
