Post Main Image

Our Wavetronix mobile traffic lab took its first-ever international trip!

Wavetronix took its Mobile Traffic Lab across the U.S.-Canada border for the first time, marking a significant milestone. The destination was Victoria Island, accessible via ferry, and the journey involved complex logistics due to international travel regulations.

Purpose and Experience

Objective
The trip aimed to showcase Wavetronix technology and traffic detection solutions directly to Canadian agencies. The Mobile Traffic Lab functions as a mobile trade show, offering a hands-on, face-to-face experience with Wavetronix products and discussion among engineers, designers, and contractors. Wavetronix worked closely with Interprovincial Traffic Services, a dealer based in British Columbia, who was enthusiastic about bringing the lab to Canada. Interprovincial organized several meetings with various agencies, expanding the lab’s visibility.

Reception
The reaction from local agencies was overwhelmingly positive. The unusual sight of a large trailer arriving on an island underscored the significance of the visit, generating excitement and attention. Word of the Mobile Traffic Lab’s visit quickly spread, with other cities reaching out for visits after hearing about it from Victoria agencies. The lab’s success in creating awareness and engagement was clear, demonstrating its value as both a promotional and educational tool. The trip was considered a major success, offering unique logistics and leaving a strong impression on both Wavetronix’s partners and clients. It was an exciting, meaningful step in expanding the company's reach beyond U.S. borders.
