September 23, 2015
PROVO, UT—The 2015 ITS trade show season has been in full swing and Wavetronix has made its presence known at each of the US market’s largest exhibitions. At each show, Wavetronix showcased its line of radar vehicle detection devices and the value of long-term reliability that has made SmartSensor the world’s leading non-intrusive detection technology.
The US trade show season began 31 May 2015 with ITS America’s 25th annual meeting and expo in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Led by new ITSA president and CEO Regina Hopper, the meeting drew nearly 2000 transportation officials, high-tech leaders and researchers from more than 20 countries. Entitled “Bridges to Innovation,” the conference focused on cutting-edge ITS technologies designed to save lives, improve mobility and reduce congestion.
Next, Wavetronix attended the annual ITE meeting and exhibit in Hollywood, Florida, held 2 – 5 August. More than 1,000 attendees and ITS experts gathered to share insights and discuss the issues impacting all facets of transportation. From there, Wavetronix traveled to New Orleans to participate in the 120th annual conference of the International Municipal Signal Association, held 22 – 25 August. The IMSA conference offered more than 60 hours of continuing education and 46 sessions; Wavetronix employees Mike Kline, Brent Padilla and David Kuhns presented three sessions on Radar at the Intersection that offered insights into the benefits that radar can provide for safe and efficient intersections.
“It’s been a very productive summer for Wavetronix,” David Kuhns, a marketing programs manager at Wavetronix. “We benefitted greatly from the interactions we had with customers, industry experts and transportation professionals at each of these shows, and we are looking forward to a great ITS World Congress in October.”
