PROVO, UT—The engineers at Wavetronix continue to innovate, with upgrades announced for nearly every product line. Changes include hardware and software updates, and one new Click product that promises to revolutionize traffic cabinet interfaces.
The Click 650 communicates directly with traffic controllers via SDLC and converts data from up to four SmartSensor Advance or Matrix units into contact closure. It can provide up to 64 channels of data and effectively replaces up to 16 four-channel/32 two-channel rack cards. The result is powerful data delivery with a greatly reduced cabinet footprint. The Click 650 will be available beginning April 2014.
In the SmartSensor line, Wavetronix has released an update to SmartSensor HD that will provide greater speed accuracy and an improved user interface (see story on page X). Additionally, updates to SmartSensor Matrix were released in January 2014 which provide automatic backup and restore functions when the sensor’s firmware is upgraded; and improved thresholds when the sensor is powered on.
For the Command line, updates released at the end of 2013 introduced 15 new features and nearly 100 improvements, including a single installer for all products. Command HQ is a suite of enterprise software products designed to manage traffic data and detectors: it now features PRN data exports; expanded data fields in the Monitor product; improved data publishing methods for Monitor and Collector; and significant improvements to the Advanced Travel Time function in Translator.
