Portland is using SmartSensor Advance to help improve safety at intersections with high freight traffic.

LINDON, UT—The city of Portland, Oregon, in cooperation with the Oregon Department of Transportation, is deploying several SmartSensor Advance units throughout the city as part of a comprehensive freight movement study. In all, about 20 SmartSensor Advance devices will be installed at various locations.

Portland is using SmartSensor Advance to help improve safety at intersections with high freight traffic, while simultaneously improving efficiency by maximizing traffic flow. The ongoing study is part of a statewide effort to create a Freight Mobility Master Plan.
