The Wavetronix Command SpeedMap™ makes real-time traffic monitoring affordable for any sized traffic operation cneter. It gives TOCs a 3-D graphical view of the roads in their area based on real-time traffic data, letting operators see at-a-glance the status of roadways as well as the health of the detection equipment in their system.
SpeedMap utilizes the traffic visualization platform created by Triangle Software, the leader in broadcast, 3-D traffic presentation systems. It generates a dynamic graphical display of raods using high-resolution satellite imagery and NAVTEQ-licensed mapping data; operator tools include 3-D positioning and zoom controls, as well as user-definable color coding to indicate speed conditions in individual lanes or on entire roadways.
Unlike many existing products which refresh traffic data at infrequent or irregular intervals, SpeedMap uses real-time data that can be updated as often as the detection system will allow, so users have complete control over the frequency and accuracy of the data being used to generate their maps.
Accurate, real-time data increases SpeedMap's reliability and imporves the TOC's ability to respond to incidences or problems as soon as they occur.
SpeedMap uses defined XML interface files to integrate seamlessly with existing traffic highway patrol incident data feeds. It can be purchased as a stand-alone product or as part of a Command package that includes the real-time data collection capabilities of Command DataCollector™ and the expanded integration capabilities of Command DataTranslator™.
