The Command DataMonitor™ protects the integrity of traffic data and ensures the long-term reliability of traffic systems by monitoring the real-time status of entire networks. It monitors collected data and the performance of individual detection and communication devices; then it immediately notifies users of any missing data or communication errors that might indicate a problem within the system. DataMonitor also monitors roadway traffic conditions and will alert users to accidents or congestion.
Operators create “monitors” based on user-specified criteria, so each monitor can be customized to fit the needs of unique individuals or departments. These monitors evaluate incoming data, then trigger alerts and generate reports for device, data and traffic conditions that violate the criteria. Input parameters can be adjusted for each individual monitor, and new monitors can be added any time they are needed.
Each user can subscribe to any monitors they wish, choosing, for example, to receive all alerts or only the most serious ones. Alerts are received via DataMonitor's Web applications; through an installable, pop-up desktop client; or by email, which can be accessed on mobile devices such as cell phones. Regardless of how a user receives alerts, DataMonitor continues to log each alert event, creating a complete report of every alert generated by the system.
DataMonitor integrates easily with existing systems that utilize older sensors and ATMS environments, but it also works effectively as part of a new system deployment.
