WavetronixTriangle Software, LLC has partnered with Wavetronix to create a unique solution for the broadcast of traffic information. The agreement interfaces the Wavetronix Command line of data collection and management products with Triangle's BeatTheTraffic™ software, which delivers real-time-to-air 3-D animations of traffic conditions. The solution takes the real-time traffic information collected by DataCollector and uses DataTranslator to convert it into a data stream compatible with the BeatTheTraffic visualization system. BeatTheTraffic then transforms the data stream into 3-D graphical images depicting current traffic conditions, which can be fed to TV or Internet for real-time traffic reports.
For traffic operations centers, Wavetronix has created the Command SpeedMap, a real-time traffic health monitoring tool that uses Triangle Software technology to create a 3-D graphical view of roads. This lets TOC operators see at-a-glance the status of roadways as well as the health of the equipment in their system.
