Before you call…
- Double-check all wiring. Wiring guides can be found in the user guide for each product.
- Ensure that the correct amount of power is being supplied to the unit.
- When connecting to a sensor, try using the “Auto Discover” feature for both Comm ports and baud rates.
If none of the troubleshooting tips help solve the problem, call us at (801) 734-7200 and choose option 5.
During the call…
Please be prepared to provide the following information:
- Your contact information, including name, number, company, and location
- Product name (specific SmartSensor, Click module or Command appliance)
- Serial number of the device or Command build number
- Communication method from connection point to device
- Short description of problem
- Steps taken to resolve or recreate the issue
If you need to return anything…
- The Technical Support rep will issue an RMA number and email you a form.
- Fill out the RMA form and submit the product. The completed form must be included inside the shipping container.
- Make sure the RMA number issued to you is clearly visible on the outside of the shipping container.
