WavetronixLINDON, Utah—November 14, 2007—The Illinois Department of Transportation, District 8 has added DataTranslator to its system, renewing its commitment to the Wavetronix Command data appliance line.
In 2006, District 8 successfully installed DataCollector and is using the appliance to manage a combination of detection devices, including the Autoscope SoloPro, the 3M Microloop and the Wavetronix SmartSensor HD.
This year, the district returned to Wavetronix to solve their need for accurate and timely traveler information. The newly installed DataTranslator is being used for both database translation and for the creation and delivery of trip times to multiple Skyline dynamic message signs across multiple overlapping freeway routes.
