WavetronixLINDON, Utah—September 25, 2005—The city of Colorado Springs, Colorado, has selected the SmartSensor for a citywide ITS project. Transportation officials have ordered 40 sensors for deployment on freeway and arterial systems around the city. SmartSensor will be used to monitor vehicle presence, occupancy and speed; the city will use this data to manage congestion and plan for future projects. Wavetronix is represented in the project by Advanced Traffic Products, Inc. of Everett, Washington, an authorized Wavetronix dealer.
