SmartSensor HD combines Wavetronix patented technologies with high definition to deliver greater resolution, range and accuracy for freeway and arterial traffic management applications.
Like the original SmartSensor™, SmartSensor HD is a non-intrusive, all-weather detection device that uses patented Digital Wave Radar to monitor vehicle volume, occupancy, speed and class across multiple lanes. It also features the patented auto-configuration process that has made SmartSensor the easiest device to install, configure and maintain in the industry. But SmartSensor HD improves on these features, offering detection resolution five times greater than the original. This gives SmartSensor HD the greatest range of any comparable device, providing true ten-lane detection and improved accuracy across all lanes, even in the presence of barriers, medians, guardrails and gore areas.
