LINDON, Utah—May 07, 2006—Wavetronix LLC, the world leader in patented Digital Wave Radar™ traffic sensors, has opened an office in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States, and has hired Bill Ippolito to serve as senior sales manager in the Atlantic states.
The Wavetronix Mid-Atlantic office is located in Hagerstown, Maryland. Michael Rose, Wavetronix vice-president of sales and marketing, says consistent growth has made it necessary for the company to establish a local presence in the eastern U.S.
"Sales activities have increased to the point where a regional office is necessary to maintain the level of availability and support that Wavetronix customers have come to expect," Rose says.
Bill Ippolito will manage the new office as well as the network of authorized Wavetronix dealers in the mid-Atlantic and northeastern territory. Mr. Ippolito brings to Wavetronix an extensive ITS background: he has designed numerous systems for traffic monitoring and management, tolling and weigh-in-motion projects, including the launch of the H.E.L.P and Crescent programs that integrate WIM equipment with transponders; he has been involved in product and software development for ITS customers, including a patented ferromagnetic loop design and software that accurately detects wheel assemblies, wheel size and chassis height; and he has been involved in several project deployments, including the first Open-Road tolling plazas in Delaware for which he won the AASHTO "Breaking the Mold" award in 2000.
"We couldn't be happier having Bill Ippolito working with Wavetronix," Rose says. "The addition of Bill to the Wavetronix sales team, and his extensive background in the transportation industry, is a real boost to the level of support we can now offer to customers in the eastern United States."
With headquarters in Lindon, Utah, Wavetronix also has a regional office in Beijing, China. To learn more about Wavetronix, visit www.wavetronix.com.
